FCC have been working with the Coombe since early 2009. During this time we were involved in a width range of upgrade projects within the hospital ranging from Special Care Baby Unit, the High Dependency Unit and the CSSD department .The Coombe, as an existing hospital, required various fire upgrades within each of these projects.  

In addition, FCC tendered and supervised the hospital wide fire detection and alarm and emergency lighting systems upgrade project.

Our most recent projects within the hospital include the new Delivery Theatre Extension project which saw a rear second floor extension to the hospital to provide a state of the art Theatre and ancillary accommodation linked to the existing Delivery Ward at this level. The Delivery Ward also underwent extensive refurbishment under this project. This was a particular challenging project in that the works were carried out within the live hospital environment and also involved interconnections to the existing hospital and refurbishments within ward areas whilst adjoining areas remained occupied.  

We are currently involved in the St Joseph’s Ward refurbishment project which shall be completed in Q3 2015.
