FCC on behalf of the Receiver carried out a Fire risk assessment of the common areas and the 12 apartments under the control of the receiver. On foot of this Risk Assessment a schedule of remedial works was developed for the common areas to the 3 blocks and for the 12 apartments to bring these in line with the granted fire safety certificate. FCC carried our periodic inspections of the remedial works as they progressed and issued an Opinion of compliance with the granted fire safety certificate for these areas.
FCC were responsible for PSDP Services for the project which include:
- Eliminating hazards and reducing risks; through design changes.
- Communicating necessary control measures, design assumptions or remaining risks via a preliminary H&S plan to the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) so they could be dealt with in the Construction safety and health plan.
- Ensuring that the work of designers is coordinated to ensure safety.
- Organising co-operation between designers.
- Preparation of a written Health & Safety plan to issue to the client upon completion.
- Preparation of a safety file for the completed structure to issue to client.
- Notifying the Authority and the client of non-compliance with any written directions issued.
Final Signoff inspection for 12No. Apartments and issue of Letters of Compliance upon completion.
