Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin

Cumulative Project Costs: €15M +

Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin (www.olhsc.ie) is an acute paediatric teaching hospital employing approximately 1600 staff. It is Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital and is responsible nationally for the provision of the majority of quaternary, tertiary and secondary healthcare services for children.

FCC has been involved with the hospital on various ongoing projects since early 2008. In that time the level of services delivered by the hospital have expanded and diversified to deal with the growing demand from the increasing population and subsequently the hospital itself needed to expand accordingly to meet these needs.

FCC was/are commissioned on a number of extension and upgrade projects throughout the hospital in the capacity of Fire Safety Consultants. We have recently seen the completion of the new Paediatric Intensive Care Unit extension coupled with the Cardiology Care Unit/ Children’s Heart Centre Support Accommodation extension project at the hospital and look forward to completing further extension/refurbishment projects at the campus. FCC current project involvement with OLCHC includes the following which are presently on site and will be complete late 2015/early 2016.

• Hybrid Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory
• Cardiac Day Ward refurbishment project

We look forward to continuing this strong working relationship with the hospital into the future.
